Do you have medications that are expired or unneeded? Visit a University Health pharmacy and look for the green bins marked “Safe Drug Disposal.” These are authorized Drug Enforcement Administration collection bins.
Keep these tips in mind:
- Scratch out all identifying information from the pill bottle before tossing it in the bin.
- Do not place illegal substances in the bin.
- Package your medications securely to prevent leakage from liquid medications.
