Leading Living-Donor Transplant Services in Texas
Living donors give part of their liver or a whole kidney to someone in need. Their selflessness is life-saving. Our living donor Champion for Life program is recognized by Donate Life America, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization that advocates for organ donation.

Dedicated Pediatric Transplant Programs
We understand that children are not little adults, and their emotional and physical health care needs are special. Our award-winning pediatric transplant program performs liver and kidney transplants for children. Our pediatric patient survival rates at one year exceed national averages.
We have the only pediatric living liver donor program in South Texas, and one of the largest pediatric liver transplant programs in the state.
Specialized Critical Care
Our 22-bed Intensive Care Unit provides expert around-the-clock care for patients recovering from organ transplants and lung surgeries. Our highly trained team uses advanced treatments like extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) to care for the sickest patients.
We also serve as a regional center for severe liver failure.
