Level I Trauma Center Needs Blood Supply

University Health is the largest transfuser of blood in the greater San Antonio area, and we need your help. As one of two Level I trauma centers in San Antonio, University Hospital is always in need of an adequate supply of blood and platelets.

Who You’re Helping

People across San Antonio and South Texas need blood donations. From women with high-risk pregnancies to trauma patients, someone in our community will benefit from your donation.

Donation Process

We make it easy to donate, and even offer incentives to do so. Our staff makes sure you’re comfortable while you’re donating. Depending on the type of blood you’re giving, your visit with us may be between 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Host a Blood Drive

Hosting a blood drive at your work, organization, church or college is a great way to unite your community under one important cause. When you get in touch with us to organize your blood drive, we will help with the logistics from beginning to end.
