Peveto Center for Spiritual Care

The Peveto Center for Spiritual Care is located at University Hospital, Rio Tower across from Elevator B. It provides two quiet and welcoming spaces where people of all faiths and denominations can come for spiritual and emotional support.

The Center is open from 24/7 for prayer, worship, confession, meditation and meetings. 

Spiritual Care Department

The Center is also the home of the Spiritual Care Department. The Peveto Spiritual Care Offices are staffed from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday - Friday.

Chaplains and Faith Leaders

Professional chaplains are available 24 hours a day to assist hospital patients, their family members and hospital staff. A chaplain may be reached by calling 210-743-3300. 

Hospital patients, their family members and hospital staff may have spiritual care requests that require ministry of individuals from a specific faith tradition. If such a need arises that cannot be met by our chaplain staff, we will verify the patient’s request and contact outside clergy and/or faith practitioners to address such needs.
