I am an interventional cardiologist at University Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Texas Health San Antonio.
I specialize in Coronary and Structural Interventions, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), transcatheter mitral valve repair and replacement (Mitraclip, TMVR). I am the Director of the Structural Heart Program at University Hospital.
I received my medical degree from University of Jordan for Science and Technology School of Medicine. I completed an Internal Medicine residency at the University Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.
I completed Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology fellowships at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
I then joined Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute in Kansas City, Missouri, for additional advanced training in interventional cardiology with a focus on structural and valvular heart disease interventions.
Research Interests:
Nonsurgical treatment for valvular and congenital heart disease.
Coronary artery physiology.
Philosophy of Care Statement:
I believe that doctor-patient relationship is very important and all decisions are shared. I treat my patients as it they are family or friends. I do my best to education them about their disease process and help them make the right decisions about their health.
