Smoke “The Restaurant Downtown” holds “Give Back Night” for hospitalized children

Smoke “The Restaurant” Downtown is one of the most tasty and creative barbecue spots in San Antonio. Smoke puts their own twist on traditional Texas favorites such as tender Smoked Brisket, Succulent Pork Pull, Beef Short Ribs and their customer favorite Dr. Pepper Pork Ribs. The menu has plenty of choices for every palate along with Texas craft beers and cocktails all served in a trendy and inviting rustic setting.

And on Thursday, Oct. 20, Smoke will be devoting 15 percent of proceeds at its new downtown location to the children at University Hospital through the University Health Child Life Fund. The fund pays for toys and comfort items to help soothe the fear and discomfort of kids in the hospital undergoing surgery or treatment from various illnesses and injuries.

The downtown Smoke at 1170 E. Commerce St., across from Sunset Station downtown, will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Oct. 20.

There’s plenty of free or low-cost parking in the Sunset Station-St. Paul’s Square area.

Please help us get the word out for this worthy cause.
