Becker’s Healthcare puts University Health on its “Top 150 Places to Work in Healthcare” list for 2024

University Health has been named to Becker’s Healthcare list of Top 150 Places to Work in Healthcare, as one of eight organizations in Texas and the only one in San Antonio to make the list.

As the national workforce shortage continues, attracting and retaining top talent is more crucial than ever for hospitals and health care systems. Organizations that foster employee growth, value and respect their voices, offer workplace flexibility and provide generous benefits see improved employee satisfaction rates. The health care organizations on this list are top-tier employers who assist in teammates’ professional and personal development, offer wellness benefits that address whole-person health, and provide opportunities to give back to the community. This list also celebrates institutions that actively push for diversity in the workplace, promote a healthy work-life balance, and enhance employee engagement.

The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team, along with accepting nominations for this list, also assessed rankings and awards from organizations such as Forbes, Newsweek, Great Place to Work and Fortune. The list is intended to highlight and uplift hospitals, health systems and health care companies that positively influence their employees and communities. The full list features individual profiles of all hospitals, health systems and companies on the list, and can be read here.

Note: Becker's Healthcare developed this list based on nominations and editorial research. Organizations do not and cannot pay for inclusion on this list. This list is not exhaustive, nor is it an endorsement of the hospitals, health systems or companies mentioned. Organizations are presented in alphabetical order and separated into provider and company sections.
