I am a pediatric nephrologist and the medical director of pediatric kidney transplantation program, where I specialize in the care of children with kidney diseases.

I manage patients with general nephrology conditions, dialysis and kidney transplants in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I also provide expert consultations to other health care facilities in the community.

Besides my clinical duties, I am dedicated to education. I serve as the module director for pediatric resident nephrology rotations and a preceptor for medical student clinical skills training.

Reasearch Interests

My research interests focus on:

Acute renal replacement therapy
Kidney transplantation
The transition of care for adolescent transplant recipients

I am actively involved in UT San Antonio School of Medicine service activities, while also contributing to the residency evaluation committee and the faculty senate.
