About
I am a native San Antonian, born and raised. I graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science in biochemistry from Abilene Christian University. Then I attended Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine and graduated with a degree in medicine and a certificate of Medical Ethics and Humanities. I completed my internal medicine internship and residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.
Most recently, I completed my cardiology fellowship at UT Health San Antonio and joined the Division of Cardiology as a non-invasive cardiologist with experience in:
General cardiology
Echocardiography
Cardiac computed tomography
Stress testing
Nuclear cardiology
Preventative cardiology
Valvular disease
I am passionate about education and gained valuable experience as a chief cardiology fellow.
Philosophy of Care
Cardiology is a rapidly changing field with new therapies and technologies for diagnosis and management of diseases. I work to bring these novel approaches to best help patients obtain the best cardiovascular care possible. Additionally, I strive to not only treat disease, but also implement strategies for prevention of cardiovascular disease.
Interests & Hobbies
Outside of medicine, I enjoy watching the Cowboys (when they are winning), Astros and Spurs as well as golfing, exploring the outdoors and spending time with my family, including my wife and two sons.
