Trick or treat! Kids in the hospital get to have some Halloween fun

Annual Halloween Parade at University Hospital gives hospitalized kids a chance to put on costumes and collect candy and treats

BACKGROUND: Just because they’re in the hospital doesn’t mean kids should miss out on Halloween. University Hospital’s annual Pediatric Parade includes current and former pediatric patients dressed in costumes and trick-or-treating through the hospital’s Sky Tower. Dozens of children will participate, whether they are walking, in wheelchairs or in wagons. Many of the children are here because of serious illness or injury, but on Monday they will be able to enjoy the Halloween tradition.
