These free health screenings can prevent serious illness

Early detection and treatment of conditions linked to heart disease, diabetes and other illnesses can prevent them from becoming serious problems. That’s why University Health’s Pharmacy Department is sponsoring Wellness Wednesday this week on Feb. 26.

Our pharmacy team will provide free screenings for cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar levels. They will conduct a body composition check. It’s also an opportunity for adults and children to receive important vaccinations offered to those covered by insurance, including Medicaid, Medicare and our CareLink financial support program. Protection against measles is especially important right now since the disease is moving quickly through some communities in Texas and other states.

Please contact us in advance if you are planning to cover the screenings and vaccinations in person.
