Defending our children in the fight against diabetes

If a child develops diabetes, the entire family becomes the patient. Dr. Jane Lynch, co-director of the Children’s Clinic at Texas Diabetes Institute and UT Health interim division chief of endocrinology, will give an update on trends in diabetes rates in children and how families can break the devastating cycle at the annual Texas Diabetes Institute Wall of Honor luncheon. The luncheon will also honor those who contribute in this ongoing battle. Since 2001, the Wall of Honor at the Texas Diabetes Institute has recognized those who have made extraordinary contributions in the treatment, prevention and public awareness of diabetes.
