Position Summary/Responsibilities:

Interviews patients to obtain accurate and complete patient demographic and insurance information in order to complete the admission and registration of all patients at various locations throughout UH and to ensure the Patient Billing Department can bill timely and correctly for the services rendered at UH.

Education/Experience:

  • High school graduation or equivalent is required.
  • Six (6) months experience in a hospital/physician setting, obtaining insurance benefits and pre-certification is preferred.
  • One year of experience in a similar occupation and basic medical terminology and ICD 9 coding experience is preferred.

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

The Electrician provides services required for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various electrical components. Ensures prompt and proficient performance of assigned duties.

Education/Experience:

  • • High school diploma or GED required.
  • • Must have a minimum of two years of experience working as a journeyman or apprentice electrician.
  • • Must have a basic understanding of safety practices, state and local electrical codes, electrical circuits, motors, switches and switching gear.

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

Provides and documents preventive and corrective maintenance on medical equipment and systems, performing substantial maintenance, safety testing and routine repairs. Uses and cares for equipment and supplies properly. Maintains professional working relations with customers, staff, and contractors.

Education/Experience:

  • Associate degree in biomedical engineering technology or related field or equivalent experience is required.
  • Entry Level to three years of experience in a hospital biomedical engineering department or full service biomedical equipment service company is preferred.
