Referrals
If you are a physician, you may refer your patient to our transplant program for an evaluation.
If you’re a parent, you may refer your child. Call the Transplant Institute at 210-567-5777 to talk about the steps to follow.

Multidisciplinary Medical Team
You can expect exceptional transplant care from a team that takes a multidisciplinary approach to care. The team you work with will have kidney, liver and surgical specialists working together. Because we are an academic medical center, University Health has access to medical and surgical specialists to consult on your child’s care. In partnership with UT Health San Antonio, our deep expertise, years of experience, devotion to patient-centered care and dedication to research makes us a leader in pediatric liver and kidney transplants, including living donations.
